Samburu National Reserve is reach in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred as Samburu Special).
Meet and Greet when you arrive in Nairobi. One of our representatives will meet you on arrival to brief you on your tour with us during your time in Kenya. You will then be transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Depending on arrival time, we may get to experience a Nairobi Tour on this day.
Rise and shine before we depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy for our safari. This conservancy is widely known for its conservation efforts for the Rhinos and it also hosts a Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Here you can experience the entire big five in one place together with other animals. We will arrive at our hotel in time for lunch before an afternoon siesta.
In the evening, we will depart for a game drive in the expansive park and get to see the diverse wildlife and bird species. Return back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay
Get to enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we depart for a half day game drive. We will get to visit the Rhino Sanctuary to see the good work going on there in Rhino Conservation. We will then get to visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and learn more of how the Chimps, which are not indigenous to Kenya, got saved and now have a place to call home. Enjoy a game drive in the park.
Later, return back to the hotel for lunch and an afternoon stay. You can choose to relax this afternoon or make use of the Spa facilities at the hotel.
In the evening, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before bidding farewell as we head to our next destination, Samburu. Here, we will get to experience both wildlife and culture. Get see the Reticulated Giraffes that are found in this location, the Grevys Zebra that is indigenous to this area, the Gerenuk among other wildlife.
We will also have an opportunity to visit a Samburu Community to learn more of the Samburu Culture during our stay as well as get to see some community projects that are ongoing.
We will arrive at our hotel in time for lunch. Get to enjoy lunch and maybe get a dip in the swimming pool at the hotel. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon and in the evening, we will depart for a game drive in search for wildlife that are found in this location.
Return back for dinner and an overnight stay.
Get to enjoy a relaxed morning at the hotel, making use of the hotel facilities. We will later in the afternoon depart for a visit to a Samburu Homestead to learn more of the culture of the people and the way of life. We will then get to enjoy a talk with the locals on what they have been doing to help the community.
We will then return back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After a fulfilling breakfast, we will depart for Mombasa, Kenya’s second largest city after Nairobi.
We will arrive in time for check – in and lunch. After a short rest, we will head to Haller Park which is a home to various giant tortoises, marsh mongoose, bush pigs, duiker, waterbuck, oryx, elands, zebras, cape buffaloes, giraffes and hippos. Enjoy the nature walk and get to see animals being fed.
We will then head to the beach for swimming and relaxation. Later on, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay
After a hearty breakfast, we will visit Fort Jesus Museum which symbolizes not only the history of Mombasa, but also the architectural prowess of the Portuguese in designing and building martial structures that are based on Renaissance era values of proportions and geometrical elements. Get to see an intriguing collection of archaeological artifacts from the fort
We will then head to the Old Town, which is one of the historical tourist attractions on Mombasa Island. A maze of narrows streets overshadowed by elaborately styled balconies of quaint shuttered houses and vibrant open bazaars. Later on, we will visit Mama Ngina Waterfront where you will get to see cultural exhibitions, shop, dine at open-air fresco restaurants and cafes or relax at the expansive site.
After a fulfilling lunch, we will head to Mamba Village whereby you will get to learn about the life cycle and behavior of these fascinating amphibians. The center also offers horseback riding and a botanical garden with an aquarium.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight to Nairobi as we bid farewell.
